Is your story something you would like to share with everyone else?
Are you opinionated about sports?

Then you may be interested in keeping an athlete journal here on Northern Illinois Sports
Beat!

Are you hoping, that if you're looking to be recruited, that coaches will see something like
this if you choose to write one of these?

Then, quite possibly, you may be interested in keeping an athlete journal here on
Northern Illinois Sports Beat!

Keeping a journal of your athletic progress (or other things) helps you learn more about
yourself, and even helps you in English or Writing classes in high school (it did for me!).
Journals are the only concrete evidence of your actions, as you interpret them. They can
serve as reminders of memories.

Keeping a journal also lets others know what you're up to, or what you feel about any
thoughts you may have. It is also a good way to get feedback from others, or answer
questions people may have for you.

Sure, journalists like myself can document someone's progress, but they are not as good
as a source as you yourself are.

Since we are almost all unique, we all have a different story towards our successes.
However, your story can be motivation for others to succeed. You just never know.

If you are a Fall sports athlete this season, consider writing a journal for Northern Illinois
Sports Beat. Coaches can participate as well. In keeping with the site's demographics,
prospecting journal keepers must be from the NISB area.
