The 2010 Northern Illinois Sports Beat Weekly Football Pick'em was the seventh
edition, making it one of NISB's longest running features. These contests are always
FUN and challenging. The contest will begin on Saturday, August 20, and end on Week
nine of the regular season.
How it Works: Each week there will be ten football games for you to pick the winner
of. One week will be a tiebreaker game, which will be used to determine the weekly
winner. The tiebreaker is the total points scored by both teams in the game.
Each week of the regular football season (Week 1 though Week 9), the games, and last
week's results, will be posted on Sunday. The deadline for all of the picks will be Friday
night at 7:00 p.m. area time.
For the 2009 contest, we had Guest Pickers from the various area media try their skills
out amongst our smart field. We are looking at bringing this back for the 2011 contest.
